Being environmentally responsible and adhering to sustainable practices are important to Kent State University. Kent State’s sustainability team helps improve comfort, reduce energy costs, create a more nurturing learning environment and, reduce energy consumption and waste. Kent State dining services does many things to advance sustainability, including supporting local fruit and vegetable farmers; using biodegradable recourses whenever possible; and making vegetarian and vegan meals readily available across campus.
